PURPOSE: A street lamp post for connecting an upper pipe is provided to minimize manufacturing costs by simply connecting an upper pipe to a lower pipe through a nut and to prevent rainwater or snow from flowing into a gap between the upper and lower pipes. CONSTITUTION: A street lamp post for connecting an upper pipe comprises a lower pipe(100), an upper pipe(200), a connection unit(300), and a waterproof cap(400). The lower pipe has a fixing plate(110) and a hollow(120). The upper pipe is separaably connected to the lower pipe. The connection unit connects the upper pipe to the lower pipe and comprises a horizontal disc plate(310), multiple fixing bolts(320), an upper disc plate(330), multiple assembling holes(331), and multiple fixing nuts. The waterproof cap comprises an adhering unit adhered to the circumference of the upper pipe.
