摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of detecting a burst signal without reducing detection signal quality. <P>SOLUTION: An optical transmitter 102 of an optical signal transmitting apparatus 100 outputs, to an optical signal receiving device 120, an optical data signal controlled by an output controller 101 so as to make a signal amplitude in a non-data domain higher than a signal amplitude in a data domain. An amplitude detector 122 of the optical signal receiving device 120 detects the signal amplitudes in the non-data domain and data domain of optical input received by an optical input receiver 121, respectively. On the basis of the signal amplitude in the non-data domain detected by the amplitude detector 122, a reception determiner 123 determines whether the optical data signal is received. On the basis of the signal amplitude in the data domain detected by the amplitude detector 122, a threshold generator 124 generates a threshold.
