<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device and a fuel cell module, capable of suppressing deterioration in energy efficiency and thereby controlling cost. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas emission control device includes a first flow passage and a second flow passage for exhaust gas to flow therethrough. The first flow passage has a first absorbing material disposed therein, and the second flow passage is connected to the downstream side of the exhaust gas in the first flow passage and provided therein with a second absorbing material carrying an oxidized catalyst. The second absorbing material has a stronger affinity for water than the first absorbing material. Hydrophobic zeolite may be used as the first absorbing material, and affinity zeolite as the second absorbing material. An additional heat exchanging flow passage through which gas or liquid can flow may also be provided for exchanging heat with the second flow passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
