<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sales promotion by setting the rate of points to each family structure of a customer. <P>SOLUTION: A family structure code is set to a customer master file 18 by each customer. The rate of the points is set to a family structure master file 19 by each family structure code. When the customer code of the point card 15 of the customer is input to a POS terminal 12, a store computer 13 obtains the family structure code corresponding to the customer code, obtains the rate of the points corresponding to the family structure code from the family structure master file 19, and replies to the POS terminal 12.
