<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device, which hardly causes false operation even when consecutive operation is continued without gazing at an operating position. <P>SOLUTION: During a consecutive mode, an MFP (Multi Function Peripheral) executes the same processing as in a case in which a consecutive operation button 34a is operated even if any position is operated within a detection area 17a. In an example shown in Fig.2(b), even when any position within the detection area 17a is operated, processing for increasing the set value of copy number by "1" is executed for each operation.
