PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a resin composition by supplying thermoplastic resin into an extruder from an upstream part of the extruder, supplying a solid auxiliary raw material into the extruder from the halfway of the extruder through an auxiliary raw material feeding chute and kneading and mixing the thermoplastic resin and the solid auxiliary raw material, capable of reducing closing of the auxiliary raw material feeding chute. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing the resin composition, the thermoplastic resin is supplied from an upstream side supply port of the continuous kneading extruder into the extruder, the solid auxiliary raw material is supplied from a downstream side supply port of the extruder into the extruder, and the thermoplastic resin and the auxiliary raw material are kneaded and mixed in the extruder so as to be extruded. The downstream side supply port 5 is opened just above a screw, and the auxiliary raw material feeding chute 7 is provided so that an outlet of the chute 7 is positioned above the downstream side supply port 5 and is not connected to the downstream side supply port 5, and the solid auxiliary raw material is supplied to the downstream side supply port 5 through the chute 7, and air in the vicinity of the outlet of the chute 7 is sucked.
