PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To streamline an output form of an image read from a document. SOLUTION: This image processing apparatus includes: an image data reception unit to receive image data read by an image forming apparatus connected via a network to be recorded in an image data storage unit; a layout generation unit to generate a layout for a predetermined arrangement region in relation to a plurality of images included in the image data recorded in the image data storage unit; a layout image generation unit to generate layout image data arranged with the images in accordance with the layout when the layout satisfies a predetermined condition; and a print control unit to cause the image forming apparatus to print the layout image data.
