PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable electrical insulating material having superior long-time heat resistance and hydrolysis resistance and meeting requirements of electrical insulation and processing characteristics. SOLUTION: A laminate consists of a polyphenylene sulfide film and a fiber sheet of an aromatic polymer having no melting point and joined with at least one side of the polyphenylene sulfide film with no adhesive. Taking the thickness of the polyphenylene sulfide film as aμm and that of the fiber sheet as bμm, the thickness ratio of the constituent layers of the laminate, a/b, is 0.25-5.00, and at least one of longitudinal and transverse breaking elongations of the laminate is at least 65%.
