PURPOSE: A filter basin monitoring and control system of a water treatment plant using a SPOT(Smart Process Operation Terminal) is provided to simplify data transmission between valve facilities and a SPOT by employing Profibus or C.C-Link method and improve data back-up function by storing data collected from a filter basin site in the SPOT. CONSTITUTION: A filter basin monitoring and control system of a water treatment plant using a SPOT comprises a monitoring and control unit(100) which is located in a central control room to monitor and control data signals including water quality data, sensor data, and facility opening and closing state signal data, a video monitoring unit(200) which receives and displays video signals, and an optical ring switch(300) which switches the video signals and general data signals.
