<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas turbine system that provides cooling air to turbine components only as needed. <P>SOLUTION: The system for modulating the amount of air supplied through a pressure boundary in a gas turbine includes a passageway (30) located on the pressure boundary. Additionally, a temperature activated valve (32) is mounted within the passageway (30) and is configured to activate at a predetermined temperature threshold.
