PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve predicate encryption for delegation of authority.

SOLUTION: Encryption processing is performed by using a space V and a space V*which are dual vector spaces (dual distortion vector spaces) associated by pairing operation. An encrypting device generates vectors as encryption vectors which are vectors in the space V and in which transmission information is embedded. A decrypting device uses prescribed vectors in the space V*as key vectors, performs pairing operation with respect to the encryption vectors generated by the encrypting device and the key vectors, decodes the encryption vectors and extracts information relative to the transmission information. Especially, the encrypting device and the decrypting device perform encryption processing without using some of the dimensions of the space V and the space V*.
