PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device free from degradation of deodorizing performance, wherein oil is prevented from adhering to an absorbent or the like that are included in a deodorizer, with regard to an oily smoke purifying device that purifies the oily smoke or the like generated during cooking. SOLUTION: The oily smoke purifying device 1 includes: an air suction opening 3 that sucks air containing oily smoke and odor; a primary air flow path 4; a secondary air flow path 5; a damper 6 that closes either the primary air flow path 4 or the secondary air flow path 5; an air blower 7 that circulates air; and an air discharge opening 8. An oily smoke remover 9 is disposed in the primary air flow path 4, and the deodorizer 10 is disposed in the secondary air flow path 5, in which a collision plate 11 as an oil adhesion suppressor is installed. During cooking, the damper 6 closes the secondary air flow path 5 so that the oily smoke remover 9 removes oily smoke. After completion of cooking, the damper 6 closes the primary air flow path 4 so that the deodorizer 10 removes the remaining odor. At that time, the oil adhesion suppressor for the deodorizer 10 prevents oil from adhering to the absorbent or the like that are included in the deodorizer 10, whereby deodorizing performance is not degraded.
