The invention relates to a device (D) dedicated to dividing a storage area (ZR) delimited by a structure (SV) of a vehicle (V), including: i) a tablet (TS) including a front portion (PV) provided with coupling means (MC1) at the two opposite ends thereof; and ii) two guiding means (MG1) defined at two locations opposite the storage area (ZR) and arranged so as to guide the coupling means (MC1) during the movement of the tablet (TS) between an upper position, in which it divides the storage area (ZR) into two vertically adjacent sub-portions, and a lower position, in which it rests on a portion of the structure (SV) defining the floor of the storage area (ZR), and including, in an intermediate portion (P1) of at least one of them (MG1), a two-way stop means (LF1) that prevents the forward movement of one of the coupling means (MC1) when the tablet (TS) is in the upper position, and enables the passage of said coupling means (MC1) either forward when a pressure is applied onto the tablet (TS) for moving same from the upper position to the lower position, or backward when a traction is applied onto the tablet (FS) for moving same from the lower position to the upper position. |
