<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition, especially obtained by using a base oil having a high purification degree, having good rust-preventing properties in the whole industrial lubricating oils, especially a mechanical oil, a turbine oil, a compressor oil, a hydraulic oil, a gear oil and a bearing oil, providing a low friction coefficient, and having excellent energy-saving characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The lubricating oil composition comprises a succinic acid derivative and an amide compound as additives in a base oil of a mineral oil or a synthetic oil. The lubricating oil composition has excellent rust-preventing properties, a reduced friction coefficient and excellent energy-saving characteristics, and is suitable as the industrial lubricating oils.
