<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet transmitter which makes small total control information field length per data link packet while making small an autocorrelation function value of a user field length string. <P>SOLUTION: When the packet transmitter transmits a data unit (message) generated in its own station to a partner terminal, if the length of the message exceeds length (payload length) transmittable by its own station, the packet transmitter divides the message so as not to exceed the payload length, sets the divided message to a user field and transmits data (packet) obtained by adding a control information field to each of the user field. The packet transmitter includes: a means for measuring the autocorrelation function value of the user field length column; a means for measuring overhead that is generated by the control information field; and a searching means for searching payload length which makes small the autocorrelation function value within a predetermined range and makes the overhead small. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
