PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of preventing deterioration in insulating performance thereof and capable of securing water resistance and durability in the case of a hard laying situation submerged in sea water or the like and even if a cable itself is reduced in diameter. SOLUTION: This water-proof connector includes: a receptacle 120 formed by covering a sleeve terminal with a receptacle body 122 made of a rubber group material and having an engaging projection 123 in the tip thereof; and a plug 130 formed by covering a pin terminal with a plug body 132 made of a rubber group material and having an engaging recess 133 in the tip thereof. The water-proof connector is covered with a cylindrical protector 150 formed of an upper half-split body 152 and a lower half-split body 153 capable of being divided from each other. Outer peripheral surfaces of the receptacle body 122 and the plug body 132 are formed with a receptacle recess 127 and a plug recess 137, and an inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical protector 150 is formed with projections 180 and 190 to be fitted in the receptacle recess 127 and the plug recess 137, respectively.
