PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily stabilize the posture of a glass roll so as to prevent the breakage of the glass film while maintaining good workability of glass roll packing operation. SOLUTION: The glass roll packing body packages a glass roll 1 in which a glass film 12 is rolled around the outer peripheral surface of a core 11, while being supported in a horizontal attitude for packing. The glass roll packing body is provided with supporting members 3 on a side wall 21c of a housing box 2, and the core 11 is supported in a cantilever manner on the side wall 21c via the supporting member 3, where the glass roll 1 is maintained in the horizontal attitude.
