PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to improve safety while maintaining the performance of a battery by preventing internal short-circuit caused by contacting an electrode lead and the electrode located on an outmost layer. CONSTITUTION: In a secondary battery, an electrode assembly(300) is installed in the battery case of a laminated sheet, wherein the electrode assembly has a structure where a separator is interposed between positive and negative electrodes. An electrically insulating heat shrinkable member of preventing the short-circuit caused by the contact with an electrode tab surrounds the upper end part of the electrode assembly.
