<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter substrate in which the retardation is properly adjusted and which has excellent flatness, is formed precisely with a small number of steps and is the most suitable for a transreflective-type liquid crystal display device, and to provide the transreflective-type liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter substrate for the transreflective-type liquid crystal display device, in which a light-shielding layer formed by using the mixture of a plurality of organic pigments as a main color material is arranged on the outer periphery of an effective display region on a transparent substrate and green pixel-including colored pixels of two or more colors are formed in the effective display region, includes a spacer pedestal formed in the effective display region, made of the same material as that of the light-shielding layer and has the thickness thinner than that of the light-shielding layer; a spacer which is formed above the spacer pedestal and includes a monochromatic colored layer; a plurality of light scattering layers formed in the reflection part of the transreflective-type liquid crystal display device; and a plurality of first cell gap control layers formed at the positions, corresponding to those of the light scattering layers on the colored pixels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
