<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting or reducing the proliferation of prostate cancer cells, e.g. androgen independent prostate cancer (AIPC) cells, and comprising a process of administering a PLA<SB>2</SB>inhibitory substance to the cells. <P>SOLUTION: In one embodiment, the PLA<SB>2</SB>inhibitory substance is a configurationally restricted molecule, originated from a peptide essentially constituted by amino acid residues from 70 to 74 of a human sPLA<SB>2</SB>-IIA protein or equivalent amino acid residues in another kind of sPLA<SB>2</SB>protein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
