PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly transmit a signal by a mobile station apparatus while reducing interference by efficiently controlling a reference signal of an uplink, in a wireless communication system composed of a plurality of mobile station apparatuses and a base station apparatus. SOLUTION: This mobile station apparatus is applied to this wireless communication system composed of the mobile station apparatuses and the base station apparatus, and takes any one connection state out of a plurality of types of connection states to the base station apparatus. The mobile station apparatus includes: a connection state determining unit 403a for determining a connection state to the base station apparatus; a wireless parameter control unit 405 for setting a parameter of a reference signal used in each of the respective connection states; a reference signal selection unit 403b for selecting the parameter of the reference signal set in the wireless parameter control unit 405 in response to the connection state determined by the connection state determining unit 403a; and a transmission processing unit 407 for transmitting the reference signal selected by the reference signal selection unit 403b to the base station apparatus.
