PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoking reduction lighter suppressing smoking behavior by inhibiting ignition based on a set condition. SOLUTION: The smoking reduction lighter includes: a clock means; a set condition holding means; a determination means receiving output from the clock means and determining whether or not the set condition is satisfied; and an ignition allowing/rejecting control means allowing ignition by receiving determination output from the determination means indicating that the set condition is satisfied and inhibiting ignition by receiving determination output from the determination means indicating that the set condition is not satisfied.
