Provided is a tyre rubber composition having excellent silica dispersibility, while also being capable of improving the following properties in a balanced manner: reinforcing properties, wear-resistance, mechanical strength, rolling resistance, wet grip, and driveability on dry road surfaces. Also provided is a pneumatic tyre using said composition. Specifically disclosed is a tyre rubber composition having a rubber component, primary silica and secondary silica. The primary silica has a CTAB specific surface area of at least 180m2/g, a BET specific surface area of at least 185m2/g, and an aggregate size of at least 45nm, and the secondary silica has a CTAB specific surface area not exceeding 95m2/g, and a BET specific surface area not exceeding 100m2/g. |
