PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing support rings for vehicle motor is provided to improve the performance of motor by maintaining the uniform thickness of a side wall by drawing and thermal treatment processes. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing support rings for vehicle motor is as follows. A cut material is heated in 600~800°C for 1~30 minutes. A graphite releasing agent is coated on the heated cut material in order to prevent the intimating of a mold and the material. A base substrate is air-cooled in a room temperature after drawing processes. The inner and outer diameters of the base substrate are roughly cut. A flange part(21) processes in the base substrate. A mounting hole(21a) and a slit(21b) are formed on the flange part of the base substrate. A support ring is accomplished by welding a side bead(22) in the base substrate using laser beam.
