PURPOSE: A method for preparing a biodegradable resin composition is provided to prepare the biodegradable resin composition with excellent physical properties, dispersibility and degradability by performing a thermal plasticizing process of starch and a chemical modification process in one extruder. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a biodegradable resin composition comprises, based on 100 weight% of the biodegradable resin composition, 40-80 weight% of aliphatic/ aromatic copolyester resins, 8-40 weight% of polylactic acids, 0.1-1.0 weight% of peroxide-based high temperature initiators, 10-40 weight% of starch, 1-10 weight% of starch plasticizers, 0.1-5 weight% of starch structure disintegrator, and 0.8-3.0 weight% of compatibilizers.
