PURPOSE: A power generation apparatus using water flow is provided to generate constant electricity regardless of flow rate because a generating element moves up and down according to water level. CONSTITUTION: A power generation apparatus using water flow comprises a generating element(10), sprockets(20), a chain(30), blade plates(40), a pause brake(16), a generator(90), and pillars(70). A part of the generating element is submerged in the water. The sprockets are fitted to a drive shaft(50) and a support shaft on both sides of the generating element. The chain is inserted to the sprockets and rotated along the body of the generating element. The blade plates moves rearward from the front of the generating element via the lower side according to water stream. The pause brake control the braking of the drive shaft inside of the generating element. The generator receives the torque from the drive shaft and generates electricity. A fastening ring(53) is inserted to the pillars and the pillars are fixed to the surface. The drive shaft and the support shaft are inserted to a shaft supporting unit which is fitted to the fastening ring and moved longitudinally.
