PURPOSE: A surface light source device of a liquid crystal display is provided to improve brightness by projecting narrow directivity light. CONSTITUTION: A surface light source device of a liquid crystal display comprises a light guide plate(38), a low refractive index layer(39) which is closely adhered to a light projecting surface, a reflection layer(40) which is closely adhered to the other side of the light projecting surface, a light incident part, a light guide plate(41) which includes the light projecting surface, and a taping part(45) which gradually increase the thickness of the light incident part. |
