Method for producing a hob

The method involves clamping a milling body with a set of teeth (10) in a milling machine, and forming form elements (20) e.g. chip breakers, on the teeth of the milling body by performing a milling procedure in the milling machine. A milling body blank without teeth is clamped in the milling machine. The teeth are formed on the milling body and the form elements are formed on the teeth by performing the milling procedure in the milling machine. The teeth and the milling body comprising the form elements are clamped together, where the milling machine has five axes of movement.
