PURPOSE: A ruthenium complex and a dye-sensitized solar cell using the same are provided to improve photoelectric conversion efficiency by using a ruthenium complex. CONSTITUTION: R1 and R2 are independently hydrogen, a substituted or non-substituted C1-C30 alkyl radical, a substituted or non-substituted C1-C30 alkoxy radical, a substituted or non-substituted C6-C30 aryl radical, a substituted or non-substituted C2-C30 heteroaryl radical or a substituted or non-substituted C2-C30 alkynyl radical, and a substituted or non-substituted C3-C30 carbon ring radical, a substituted or non-substituted C2-C30 heterocyclic radical, a halogen atom, a hydroxy radical, a cyano radical, a thiol radical or an amino radical. R is hydrogen, a substituted or non-substituted C1-C30 alkyl radical, a substituted or non-substituted C1-C30 alkoxy radical, a substituted or non-substituted C6-C30 aryl radical, a substituted or non-substituted C2-C30 heteroaryl radical or a substituted or non-substituted C2-C30 alkynyl radical, and a substituted or non-substituted C3-C30 carbon ring radical, a substituted or non-substituted C2-C30 heterocyclic radical, a halogen atom, a hydroxy radical, a cyano radical, a thiol radical or an amino radical.
