<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion exchange membrane which is used for a fuel cell and is superior in permeation suppression of liquid fuel. <P>SOLUTION: This is a non-fluorine system ion exchange membrane for fuel cell which is superior in methanol permeation suppression property, and in the formula showing methanol concentration dependency of methanol permeation coefficient of the ion exchange membrane: methanol permeation coefficient [μmol/m/s]=α×(concentration of methanol water solution [mol/l] ), the inclination α is less than 0.08.
