The device has a refrigerating chamber (3) and a freezing compartment (5) accessed by an access opening and limited by an inner lining part (1) i.e. deep-drawn plastic part. A reinforcement area (11) is formed as a form section that is material-uniformly and/or integrally formed into the lining part, where material thickness (S2) of the reinforcement area is increased with respect to material thickness (S1) of the lining part. The lining part is made of plastic sheet. The reinforcement area partially extends along upper and lower corners (13, 17) and/or vertical edges (15) of the lining part. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing an inner lining part for a refrigerator.
