A bird scaring device (1) having a means of attachment to a vehicle and a means of firing at least one rocket from the device (4) when the device (1) is attached to a vehicle (19). The device (1) may be provided with a user operable firing means (3) arranged to fire at least one rocket (11) from the device (1). The user operable firing means (3) may be operable by a person inside the vehicle. The invention also relates to a bird scaring vehicle (19) comprising a bird scaring device (1), a method of scaring birds and to a fuse ignition (26).
