Virtual link between network operators

The method involves providing an inter-domain link (10) in network resources required for announcement of connection from one administrative domain (1) to another administrative domain (2) via the inter-domain link. The inter-domain link is activated, and the inter-domain link is maintained with the network resources. The resources are allocated to the inter-domain link during the connection. The network resources allocated to the inter-domain link are released at the end of the connection. An independent claim is also included for an administrative domain comprising a database.
