<p>The coating device (1) has a supplying device (10) for supplying coating material (12), and a pressing device (20) for pressing the coating material on a surface (2a) of a work piece (2). A conveying device (4) causes a relative movement between the pressing device and the work piece, and an energy source (30) applies energy on the coating material and/or the work piece. A controller (50) operates two energy producing sections i.e. lasers (30', 30''), of the energy source with operating parameters that are different from each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for coating a work piece. The energy producing sections are selected from a group consisting of a laser producing section, infrared producing section, ultrasound producing section, magnetic field producing section, microwave producing section, plasma producing section and gassing producing section, and the operating parameters are selected from a group consisting of energy intensity, energy direction and time of switching-on or switching off of the energy producing sections.</p> |
