SUBWAVELENGTH MINIATURIZED DUALITY CRLH TYPE METAMATERIAL STRUCTURED ULTRA-WIDE-BAND BANDSTOP FILTER WITH STEEP SKIRTS

PURPOSE: A duality composite right/left handed(CRLH) type metamaterial structure subwavelength ultra-wideband bandstop filter is provided to microminiaturize in subwavelength scale resulting from duality CRLH type zeroth-order resonance. CONSTITUTION: A signal passes through one electric length(102) from an input port(100) and is divided into an upper bypass line(105), a strongly coupled inter-digital coupling line(104), and a lower bypass line(106). A phase of the signal passed through the lower bypass lline is X+180 degrees if a phase of the signal passed through the upper bypass line is X degrees. The signal is not transmitted since two signals with a different sign of phase meet at another electric length(103) and cancel each other out.
