PURPOSE: A nitride phosphor is provided to ensure excellent color rendering property and to prevent re-absorption when applied to a white light emitting diode. CONSTITUTION: A nitride phosphor is represented by chemical formula 1: M^1_(a-z)Ce_zM^2_(b-x)M^3_xN_(c-y)O_y.
