The door (10) has an adjustable door field (12) displaced parallel to an access opening (13), and a safety contact strip (18) arranged in a region of a front side of the adjustable door field. The strip is movably displaced between a withdrawn position and an extended position in relation to the door field. A rope drive (20) is provided with a rope (22) i.e. hauling cable, for producing relative motion between the safety contact strip and the door field. One end (30) of the rope is coupled with an actuator element (34), and another end (32) of the rope is coupled with the strip.
