FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: crystalliser with core is transferred at rate of 0.75-0.95 of optimal calculated rate of building-up. When level of metal coincides with beginning of crystalliser broadening, rate is increased to 1.5-2.0 of calculated rate of building-up, facilitating higher position of level sensor relative to liquid metal within the range of 1.0-2.0 of height of broadening zone of crystalliser. There is maintained a cycle of the crystalliser motion with the core before beginning of withdrawal of a shrinkage cavity. Process of withdrawal of a consumable electrode and crystalliser beyond the slag bath is completed in 1.3-1.8 of time required for reaching a calculated mode of melting. ^ EFFECT: increased reliability of melting hollow ingot and facilitation of melted metal quality. ^ 2 dwg |
