PURPOSE: An electric disk brake is provided to heighten space utilization by installing in a small space. CONSTITUTION: An electric disk brake includes a disk(10) rotating together with a wheel of a vehicle, first and second friction pads(11,12) arranged on two sides of the disk to pressurize two sides of the disk and to apply the brake, a caliper housing(20) pressurizing the first and second friction pads, and a pressure device installed to the caliper housing for braking. The pressure device includes a pressure member(41) installed to a body portion(21) of the caliper housing to pressurize and release the first friction pad, a screw shaft(42) coupled to the pressure member, a screw gear unit(50) connected to the screw shaft, and a motor(60) rotating the screw gear unit forward and backward.
