PURPOSE: A sub band selection information feedback error detecting method in a wireless mobile communication system using a localized sub channel and an apparatus therefor are provided to detect an error of feedback information when selection information of a sub band is reported to a base station, thereby preventing loss of resources by wrong sub channel allocation. CONSTITUTION: A TX/RX unit(400) transceives a signal. A receiving signal quality measuring unit(402) measures the quality of a downlink sub band. A preference sub band selecting unit(404) selects a preference sub band based on the quality of the measured sub band. An error detecting unit(406) detects whether the selected sub band information has an error. A scheduler unit(412) generates an allocation message using sub band selection information.
