摘要 PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery containing a lithium-manganese-tin compound cathode active thin film, a method of fabricating lithium-manganese-tin and a method for forming cathode active thin film using the same are provided to prevent phase transition by preventing Jahn-Teller deformation through substituting manganese of lithium manganese oxide (LiMn2O4) with a small amount of tin(Sn). CONSTITUTION: A cathode active material comprising a lithium-manganese-tin oxide of formula (I): LiSnx/2Mn2-xO4 (wherein, 0<x<=0.05) is prepared by a method comprising the steps of: (a) mixing powders of Li, Mn and Sn compounds to obtain a mixed powder; (b) first-milling the mixed powder; (c) calcining the first-milled powder; (d) second-milling the calcined powder; (e) pressing the second-milled powder; (f) sintering the pressed mixture to prepare a target containing Li, Sn, Mn and O; and (g) depositing an cathode active thin film containing Li, Sn, Mn and O on a substrate by irradiating laser to the target.
