The module (LCU) has a diode i.e. Schottky diode, allowing current circulation between a serialization terminal (B1) and another serialization terminal when a photovoltaic panel (12) does not produce electricity. A constant current source (32) is connected between a ground terminal (E) and a series connection conductor (13). A converter supplies voltage developed by the panel between panel connection terminals, to the module. A switch e.g. N channel metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) transistor, is disconnected from the panel when series current is interrupted by a general switch. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a module assembly management center comprising a sensor (2) a method for detecting and locating disconnection of a single conductor in series with a photovoltaic panel.
