PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunoglobulin-binding protein that functions as a ligand for a carrier for capturing a target substance, for example, for affinity chromatography, consequently, it has a large amount of immobilization onto the carrier and improves immunoglobulin retention ability.

SOLUTION: The immunoglobulin-binding protein is represented by general formula (1) R1-r-R2wherein R1is amino acid sequence composed of 4-100 amino acids containing 4-20 continuous His (terminal of the continuous His is bound with r (R2when r is 0)); R2is amino acid sequence composed of 50-500 amino acids containing at least one immunoglobulin-binding domain of protein A; r is optional amino acid sequence composed of 0-200 amino acids or general formula (2) R2-r-R1wherein R1is amino acid sequence composed of 4-100 amino acids containing 4-20 continuous His (tip of the continuous His is bound with r (R2when r is 0)); R2is amino acid sequence composed of 50-500 amino acids containing at least one immunoglobulin-binding domain of protein A; r is optional amino acid sequence composed of 0-200 amino acids.
