<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish a voltage controlled oscillator having a wide variation width of an oscillation frequency. <P>SOLUTION: A ring oscillator includes a differential inverter, and controls a tail current and a load current. Output of the differential inverter is switched by a PMOS transistor and an NMOS transistor and an output voltage is limited by a clipping transistor.
