PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiving system in which an in-vehicle apparatus receiving broadcast can set an appropriate broadcast channel in each running area of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The broadcast receiving system is composed so that an information providing apparatus updates area information regarding to the broadcast channel which can be received in each running area using only the probe information discriminated as right out of the probe information received from each on-vehicle apparatus, and transmits it to each on-vehicle apparatus, and each on-vehicle apparatus sets the broadcast channel which can be received in each running area based on the area information received from the information providing apparatus.
