PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor and a method of manufacturing the same, which can suppress deterioration of an insulating member without forming an external electrode. SOLUTION: The capacitor 1 includes a first insulating member 10, a first electrode 31, a heavy edge 32a, a heavy edge 32b, a second insulating member 20, and a second electrode 41. A flange part 34a and a flange part 34b are formed so as to spread along a second surface 10b.
