A method, system, apparatus, and computer readable medium has been provided with the ability to obtain a complex permittivity e or a complex permeability µ of a sample in a cavity. One or more complex-valued resonance frequencies (fm) of the cavity, wherein each fm is a measurement, are obtained. Maxwell's equations are solved exactly for e, and/or µ, using the fm as known quantities, thereby obtaining the e and/or µ of the sample. |
