The object of the invention is a washing device for cleaning a cleaning sponge (2) used in tiling work, the cleaning sponge comprising a handle part (4) to which is connected a base part (5), to which the actual sponge part (3) is fixed. The washing device comprises a container part (1) for cleaning fluid and means connected to the container part for gripping the cleaning sponge and for conveying it along a curved path, around an essentially hori¬ zontal axis of rotation (10). The path runs at least partly within the cleaning fluid in a container part (1) and adjacent to the said path are positioned rolls or rollers (9, 9'), against which the sponge part (3) is arranged to be pressed as it travels along the said path. |
