<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic scanning type radar system and a method and a program for estimating the direction of a received wave, which perform detection of the incoming direction of the received wave with high accuracy, without reducing detection accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic scanning type radar system includes a frequency resolution processing part which calculates complex number data, based on a beat signal from a transmission wave and the received wave coming from a target; a target detecting part which detects the presence of the target, by detecting a peak value from the value of strength of a beat frequency; a target connection processing part which correlates the target detected in the present and past detection cycles; and an azimuth-detecting part which performs spectral estimation, based on the complex number data on the beat frequency at which the presence of the target is detected for each antenna, according to the detection cycle, performs weighted averaging processing for elements constituting a normal equation formed on the basis of the results of the past and present spectral estimations and thereby calculates the incoming direction of the received wave. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
