<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector in which strength of the whole connector can be improved with a simple constitution and productivity can be enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of pillar parts 12f1, 12f1 installed in a shell sidewall part 12f which constitutes an engagement portion 11a with a mating connector 20 are arranged so as to rise from the both side portions of a solder connection part (hold-down) 12e fixed on a printed-circuit board P side. Thus, the distance from the shell sidewall part (action point) 12f on which a load is applied at the time of operation of engagement and removal of the mating connector 20 to the solder connection part (fulcrum) is shortened greatly, and an operation moment force is suppressed small; and in the stage of material preparation before bending molding of each part of a conductive shell 12, the material of the solder connection part (hold-down) 12e can be used to a portion of the shell sidewall part 12f, thereby preventing wasteful use of the material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
